This is the cookbook version of Lamb Shanks in Red Wine Sauce which is a slightly more fine-dining restaurant version of the fan-favourite original Lamb Shanks in Red Wine Sauce. Calling for an overnight marinade of the shanks, the sauce is glossy, elegant, silky smooth and ultra rich!
Which one to use? I use the original when I forget to plan ahead for an overnight marinating of the shanks. And I use the cookbook version when I’m cooking for company and really wanting to impress. 🙂
