The best green papaya salad I’ve had. I substituted Thai basil with cilantro and palm sugar with brown sugar. Still,the salad was fantastic – tangey, hot, crunch, & sweet. I know I will make this dish many more times in the future. Thank you.

Thanks so much for posting this Nagi! We lived in Thailand for 5 years and this is one of my favourite all year round salads! In NZ, we don’t often have green papaya, but I use swede (turnip yes I’m Scottish) and it has amazing texture.

I have made so many of your recipes and they are just spot on everytime. Thankyou for putting in the effort to share your recipes with us. Your book is the best cookbook I’ve bought in ages. This Thai beef salad tastes exactly like the one I had in Phuket.
